Delia McPhail, BES, MCIP, RPP

Delia has been a Registered Planner since 2005 and, after 21 years of experience in the public sector, she joined the planning professionals at T. Johns Consulting Group Ltd.

As a student, Delia worked in planning and economic development offices with the Cities of Hamilton, Burlington and Toronto, as well as the Ministries of Municipal Affairs and Housing and Economic Development and Tourism.  Following graduation from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies, Honours, Co-op, in 2001, she began her professional career with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing as a policy planner.  In 2008, Delia returned to her roots as a Development Planner with the City of Hamilton, processing a wide range of applications within the Urban and Rural Areas of the City.  During that time, Delia was qualified as an expert witness at the OMB/OLT.

Most recently, Delia worked as a policy planner for the City of Hamilton, as the project lead for the first phase of the City’s Municipal Comprehensive Review of the Urban Hamilton Official Plan, including the formulation of policies to conform to provincial policy, public engagement processes, and the presentation of Official Plan Amendments.

Delia is responsible for leading development and policy projects, as well as assisting Terri with general operations of the firm.

In her spare time, Delia enjoys volunteering with youth and community outreach events.
